Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress who has been praised for her roles as lead actress in numerous television series and for her enthralling performances in movies. There is a huge fanbase in American as well as Canadian television. Emily first became interested when she watched her sister Katie performing in a film. After discovering her enthusiasm for the acting world she enrolled herself in classes for it and started to audition. The first time she was cast, she appeared in commercials for a few minutes before getting a part on the Canadian children's horror television show Are You Scared of Darkness? She was only seen in one scene with no any dialogue. Her first break came at 15 years old after she was spotted on the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Emily's performance in Glory Days, a show on WB which ended up being cancelled after nine episodes, attracted the attention of and landed Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily was also an artist and ballerina, was recognized by Teen magazine as one the most talented actresses under the age of 20. In Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her as number 51.
