Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically-acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams was the daughter of an U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew in Castle Rock Colorado. In the mid-1990s, she began dancing and performing professionally at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she moved to Minnesota and was made a part of Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentary film that explored beauty contests. Her screen debut was a huge success where she played an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet moved into Los Angeles where she began professional acting. Janet Leigh got married to Tony Curtis between June 1951 until September 1962. Her children include Kelly Curtis (and Jamie Lee Curtis) and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began in the late 1940s when she was accepted by MGM. The actress was discovered by Norma Shearer. In the decade that followed, she appeared in many popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
