Eve was born in London England the daughter of actor Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. Her brothers are Jack and George and was raised in the United Kingdom and Los Angeles United States. She attended Bedales School before taking her A Levels at Westminster School London. During her gap year she studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then took English through St Catherine's College Oxford. In Oxford Eve was a part of various student-produced productions, including An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers which toured The Edinburgh Fringe Festival Scenes from an Execution as well as The Colour of Justice. Eve has starred on television in BBC's The Rotters Club Poirot Hawking and the feature film Stage Beauty (2005). Eve played important roles in two films from 2006: Starter for 10 & Big Nothing. Both she along with the co-star Simon Pegg used American accents. Eve devoted a substantial portion of the first half of 2006 in India for a drama show called Losing Gemma. Eve has been in two shows, that were both produced by Trevor Nunn. In 2006, the Royal Court Theatre presented her in Rock n Roll a Tom Stoppard's new production in the year 2006. The role was reprised in the Broadway version in 2007. Her nomination was for the best supporting actress in the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards for her performance. The actress comes from a multiracial family. Her parents were Indo British family of British heritage Anthony Mitra & an Irish born mother Nora Downey. English actor Guyan Mitra is the middle of three siblings. They include an elder sister Jason Mitra. The younger brother is a journalist for travel who has published in Lonely Planet, The Sunday Times and many other publications.
