Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. She started her Broadway career with musicals like Wicked, Legally Blonde and Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in an Play. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has worked alongside acclaimed actors and directors for stage productions and on television. The award-winning actress continues her career with her upcoming projects. Ashford will be next seen alongside Kumail Nannjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited Series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. The film will be available on Disney's DTC platforms as a Hulu Original. Ashford will return to Broadway in the month of March 2023 in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same duo who produced Hamilton, will direct the production. Ashford was last seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. This show is based around the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the middle of the country's First Impeachment Proceedings during the Over 100 Years. She starred in two seasons of the hit CBS comedy B Positive. The show was created by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. The show featured Linda Lavin, Hector Elizondo, as well as Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. Her portrayal of Essie in You Can't Take It with You was a winner of the Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway performances. Ashford lives in Los Angeles & New York. Her birthplace was in Denver and was raised in Denver.
